Volunteers
Would you enjoy working with children?

Do you like animals?

If the answer is yes …

Can you help us?

We are a local charity running riding sessions for primary school students with learning difficulties or disabilities.

Many volunteers had no experience of working with ponies or children with disabilities before they joined us, and this is not a problem.

Some volunteers just want to side walk or simply help with setting out equipment.

Do whatever you are comfortable with as we appreciate our volunteers whatever they do.

Watching a relationship develop between pony and rider is always an amazing experience.

Seeing the enjoyment and watching the progress of the riders is very fulfilling, making this a volunteering role which gives an amazing level of job satisfaction.

All helpers and instructors are volunteers and we are always looking for more at both our venues.

Please come and watch a session to see if it will suit you, and have tea and a biscuit with us.

We meet during school term time on Monday afternoon & Friday morning at Watch Hill, near Aspatria, & on Wednesday mornings at Whitehaven.
